cutting above work
I have read articles about the cutter on my shark pro cutting (moving) above the wood when a person tries to cut so I tried to fix mine by looking at the possible repairs. When I try to cut a sign with raised letters, the cutter moved happily around about 3/4 of an inch above my wood. I checked to m...

Re: Dust Collection
I don't have a lot of money so I set my CNC Shark Pro up in my garage. Dust was a problem so I built a frame to go around it and started using clear vinal to cover it. I soon found the vinal creates a lot of static electricity so I only used it for the back panel. I covered the sides with material, ...

In your msg. you stated you ran it thru Vector Art 3D Machinist. When I went to your attachment, you said you did this in Vector 3D Art. Did you buy the 3D art program or was it run thru the 3D Machinist?

Re: Carving from a photo
Thanks Dave
I imported the moose, after playing with the light/dark and contrast and it seems to work great.

Carving from a photo
Can I take a black and white photo and carve its likeness into wood with my cnc shark pro? I have a lot of animal pictures that I would like to make carvings of (2D or 3D). I thought I read someplace that I could do this but I can't find where to look.

Re: Project software
I am looking for various images to carve. Right now I have a friend who hunts and has a cabin in the woods. He wanted a sign made up with the camp name on it and a carving of a moose. I can't seem to get a 3D carving of the moose (even when I bought the 3D moose image from vectra and ran it through ...

Where can I go to buy 2D projects to make (something like Carvewright sells)? I found plenty of 3D projects but I can't get them to carve out like the photos show, even with the use of the Vector Art 3D Machinist. I would be plenty happy if I counld just carve images (2D) onto the wood but I don't k...
