Yes, and depending on the software you have you can manipulate in it other ways too. It will come in as a STL file which other programs use also.

No I agree with Joe, just because it can be done doesn't mean it's always a good idea. Unless you're short of time using a larger bit to rough out is a good idea.

Cut with a 1/16' tapered bit in 1/2" Coran, No rough cut..

I've used at 1/16" Taperd ball carving 3/4" of oak and 1/2 in Coran with out a problem.

OK, here's the pattern for the dish, comes out to a .775" concave. I'm not sure why you would need such a large shallow disk to san with, wouldn't a simple guage be better?

Use a sanding mop, you can buy one for about $35. Or you can make one for about $15. I got all the parts at Harbor Freight.

The problem I see here is that the dish is 5 inches wider than the Shark can handle. Other than that the form and radis is easy to create. I'd use a 1" round nose bit to rough it then come back with 1/2" round nose bit to finish
