I like it basecircle. Thanks for sharing.
Are those blocks 2X4X8? If so, it must weigh over 100 pounds! How much does it weigh?
The work you did on the box is exceptional.

Re: Router or Spindle
From what i understand, the Spindle has better bearings and will last a lot longer doing heavy work. Saves down time.
Of course, you can always buy a backup router and have it ready should yours go out.
Spindles can come with water cooling. Just more stuff.

Re: How to ground router
To ground your router, use a very flexible multi strand copper speaker wire and connect it to a housing screw on the router where the screw fastens to the metal router housing. Route the wire loosely through the CNC cabling that goes to the controller. Connect the loose end to the controller. When t...

Re: How do you setup and maintain your zero points?
With me being a brand new user, I don't know what the other use but I use a fine point bic marker. When I Zero, I let the tool press just a little in the wood. Then I back it off enough to place a dot on the center that it made. Then I re-zero Z. I can always find zero on the board no matter what I ...

Re: PC re quirements
The PC I'm using is a very old IBM Thinkpad T30. It did have some USB problems with its native USB ports, but I started using a USB PCMCIA card and Ta Da! Its ALIVE!!! (Remember Frankenstein?)

Re: Start router with carve start
Not sure about all of the controllers for all of the Sharks. My controller for the Shark HD Pro has a power plug in the back that switches on my router when the program starts running. It has a 10 amp fuse, so a router that needs more than 10 amps should not use it. I wanted my vacuum to start with ...

Re: Battery UPS/Surge sizing
If all you are wanting it isolation and not to ride through a power outage, then a 12 amp UPS or larger is all you should need. The 12 amp UPS are what are used for desk top computers and can be purchased relatively cheaply. Next Wave told me that the power outlet for the router has a 10 amp fast bl...

Re: What does your Shark Pro HD sit on?
Recently, I bought a used Shark HD Pro that was already bolted to a table with locking swivel casters. The table is a standard 2X4 workbench construction where all of the joints were glued and screwed. It came with a dust cabinet using 2X2s as the frame and 1/4 plywood as sides and top except for th...

Re: Apps, Pi, and remote desktop.
Recently, I read that a version Windows 10 can be loaded on the Raspberry PI II B. And on this forum someone said that their Windows 10 runs their Shark. It would be worth a try to load up a RPI with Win10 and try it. I might even try it this weekend. Seems Microsoft makes you load Win10 to create t...
