mine did same thing- I looked at registration info- looked like it tried to update or something because the info boxes still need to verify an email address- (must of had my tether hot spot left on my phone otherwise no internet connection) once I added the email address I closed everything and star...

I just saw the first line- "Problem solved!" what was the issue???? I did not have the SAME issue....but after 2 yrs of the touch plate working fine... the buttons went away for the 5 point touch off- only had the one point in center working. It will ask you if you like to used the last VZ settings and you answer accordingly. If you did not change bits your z will still be set. if you are carving on a pocketed area your new tool path should have new start point (minus the amount you just took out of that area) this is done in the text on...

I use a soft wire brush used from work and thrown out when not doing the job anymore. But you may save this carve with a brush of sorts to just scrub the fuzzys off...worth a try. I stay with grain as much as possible because this brush will scratch oak even but then light palm sanding cleans those up

on my hd3 slime line I thought the same thing...... I just had to pry the opening at the slot area and it slide right in.....would of sworn there was no way it was going to fit.....but it did.... just saying that was my experience......but the HD4 may be different.
