Why is this site being hjacked by this sort of junk, and what can be done about it.
Al Wolford should be contacted at Rockler!

Re: Uneven carve depth

On most machines, the bed isn't level. It would be a good idea to place a spoil board on top of the aluminum bed and then do a surface cut to make sure the cutter is level on every part of the table. Then try another cut. That should take care of the problem.

Re: Router Rebuild

Brushes and bearings are cheap enough to replace them once a year if needed. Before I got a spindle, I only had to replace the bearings and brushes once in just over a year. I have had my spindle for only about 10 months now, but is is really quiet compared to the router.

Re: Controlling with Laptop

When I had my HD4, I was told by Nextwave the pendant is the only way to run the machine. There may be others here that have a different opinion.

Re: NEW 7 WATT LASER MODULE

Give J-Tech a call. Like I said before, Jay form J-tech said they make the laser kits for Nextwave, Axiom, Camaster, and many other cnc machines.
They also offer stand alone kits.

Re: NEW 7 WATT LASER MODULE

I was at the Vectric seminar in October and met with Jay from J-Tech the company who makes the laser for Next Wave and many other companies like Axiom and others. Re: Cooling fluids

During the winter in Wisconsin, I keep the garage at 48 degrees, so I don't have to worry about freezing. While I am working, I crank up the heat to 65 which only takes about 20 min because the garage is insulated including the door. I also have rubber tile on the floor, so no cold concrete to stand...

Re: Controlling with Laptop

When I had my HD4, is was under the impression it could run by a computer but the machine was designed to run on the pendant only.
I never got my machine to run with the pc.
Sorry for not being able to help.

I would suggest calling Next Wave for help

Re: Curving Words

What software are you using?
If it's Vcarve, once you type the word out and hit enter, move it to where you want the text to be then click on the icon text on a curve. your mouse pointer will change and you can either curve it up or down. Very easy.

That is probably what everyone that has a spindle uses. RV antifreeze
