Tony, If you go to your local hardware store, you can get 5/16" brass toilet bolts. These should slide in to the slots. They are what I use. The biggest challenge for this project is registering the drumstick properly for engraving.

Registration of the equipment remains my biggest obstacle to using cnc.
After all connections are good, the actual operation 0f a cnc is relatively easy.
