Re: Has anyone ever used thier Shark to create. ..
I have my heart set on making a wooden gear clock. I downloaded some PDFs, printed them out, cut them out, glued them onto some plywood and started using my band and jig saw. Then, after all of that work and NOT getting much of anywhere, I found a CNC Shark on Craig’s List 6 months ago, which I boug...

Re: How Pimped Out is your Shark
Thanks BillK. Good to know. Happens that I do have a spiral up cut but have not used it yet.
Maybe I should build a lip around this clamp to hold down as well as a side load.
Shouldn't require much of a lip should it?

Re: How Pimped Out is your Shark
The 4th axis is something that I have been thinking about for sure. Right now, 3 axis are challenging enough. I need to have some in-depth discussions on how I use the software with Kurt’s rig to make round stuff. Not near as exciting as a 4th axis is the clamp that I made using a logarithmic spiral...

Re: How Pimped Out is your Shark
WOW!! That is what I’m talking about!! I have been reading this forum for a short while but missed the shark tank articles. It didn’t take long for me to figure that keeping the shark is a necessity and with an enclosure to keep the sound down, it quickly becomes a challenge. Without seeing these gr...

Re: Squaring the router with the sacrifice board
I suppose I could.
I'm guessing that not many have access to a welder.
I'm not great at welding or CNC.
If anyone is interested, they could PM me and we can discuss.
Thanks for the suggestion Tradewinds.

Re: Squaring the router with the sacrifice board
Due to the holidays, aligning my router took a lower priority. But, I did it. Took quite more shimming than I originally thought. First I took some ¼ inch rod stock I had and welded it at a 90 degree angle. Double checked the angle with 2 different speed squares. The bottom piece is 6 inches long so...

Re: Squaring the router with the sacrifice board
Thanks McBuster and Rod.
I'll try it and get back to you with the results. I was thinking of making the horizontal some 3 or 4 inches to really square it up.
I'll take pictures.

Re: shark slimeline HD w/Vert zero and dust boot
TAW Welcome to the forum. I’m also a new member and got my Shark HD Pro some 8 weeks ago. My wife was not impressed with the money I spent but after she saw some of the name plaques I made for the grand children and super hero logos I made for the grand-sons, she is convinced that it will be worth t...
