Re: Not starting where I think it should

When you zero out X, Y, and Z, you're telling the CNC where zero (or "origin") is. Your design will dictate where everything else is in relation to that. Check your design file to see if origin is at the top or bottom of your workpiece. If you're using a touchplate to zero off against your spoilboa...

Re: UHT OH!

In the link above, there is a diagram. I'll take a picture but most relays are sealed (not much to see). In the pictures there are 2 male molded end cords. The longer one is the one that comes from a source of power. The shorter one is the one that comes from your CNC controller that you would norm...

Re: Feeds and Speeds

I've asked a couple of but manufactures and others for suggestions on feeds and speeds but all I get is nothing also. I was thinking it had to do with the grade of alloy steel in the bit. Maybe, no one wants to be liable should something go wrong when setting up to specific values. Just so you know...

Re: Not starting where I think it should

Not really knowing without seeing you set up both the Vcarve and the CNC, I'll just touch on some of the basics. When you start Vcarve, you tell it where you want zero to be. Sometimes it is in the center, some time it could be in any of the 4 corners. It is up to you. Vcarve used this as the zero ...

Not starting where I think it should

I posted this in the programming section also but trying to get more to see it. This is my first program and I watched several tutorials but I'm still lost. I have set the X,Y zeros and used the touch plate for Z zero on my work piece. I load the program in the pendant, and when I hit start the spin...

Re: RCA Cables / grounds?

No it doesn't matter. I have actually plugged mine in both ways and no issues.

Not starting where I think it should

This is my first program and I watched several tutorials but I'm still lost. I have set the X,Y zeros and used the touch plate for Z zero on my work piece. I load the program and when I hit start the spindle moves about 2 inches away off the working piece on the X axis and then starts the plunge. I ...

It looks like they redid their website. I was there this morning and now it is all different!

Re: Cooling fluids

From previous research I found that at normal ambient temps straight water will dissipate heat better than 50/50 antifreeze mix.

Feeds and Speeds

Does anyone have a simple basic guide (chart) to feeds and speeds? I'm looking for some basic starting points. I know there are many variables and I will be learning them as I go and I plan on doing something like an Excel sheet to track it all. I'm just hoping to reduce my learning curve. My Google...
