Vector Art 3d Machinist

Post by nek »

Is the CNC Shark compatible with Vector Art 3d Machinist. It sounds like an inexpensive way to get into 3d.

Yes the Shark is compatible with 3D machinist. I made a storage box lid from the free model #37903. I used the free http://www.vectorart3d.com/machinist_free program. Profiled and pocketed the bottom out of a piece of 2X6. The free program worked great, no problems or surprises.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Machinist is made by vectric and is basically cut 3d a little bit stripped down.
it should have the shark post processor but if not you can copy the vcarve one.

Thanks
