Post Processors are much like printer drivers. They simply process the toolpaths created in VCarve into code the related CNC can use. Vcarve comes with CNCShark-USB Arcs (inch), CNCShark-USB Arcs (mm), and two similar ones for 3D Contours.
The Sharks have a separate CNC Shark Control Panel application, which you download from NextWave's site. It then gives you control over the Shark including jogging the router around, marking where you want HOME (0,0,0) to be, and then loading in that .TAP file to feed to the Shark. You can slow down the file as it cuts if you need to. You can Pause or STOP a running file. I hope that helps.
