Need to drop a license on Ready2Control

Post by Barksport »

We have 2 licenses of Ready2Control for our new HD510. We mistakenly loaded both licenses on separate laptops to “give it a look” but now we need to load one license on the 510 PC. We unloaded one of the licenses but the website still shows 2 licenses taken. How can I correct this? Really stuck and cant call nextwave till Tuesday!

Pretty sure all you have to do is register it on a/the second computer where you need that second license to operate.
I'm unclear as the reason you need to "unregister" (aka "drop") the other license. Is it's registration somehow preventing something from working?
Normally the unregistered status only really exists between purchase ("license assignment") and the first registration. After that, it's either "registered" or "expired."
When you move the license, the registration target merely changes.

Hope that helps; please do provide additional information if it will help clarify.

Rando…we have used the 2 licenses available and so we need to remove one from a laptop so that we can assign it to the pc that drives the shark. We removed the copy from the laptop but the website still sees 2 used licenses and no more available.

Have you tried just registering the new installation on the PC, and when it asks for a license, you choose/give it the one you want to kill-off from that laptop?
That's typically how it works on other software-licensed systems.
