Turning a part into a template or pattern

Post by gmm50 »

Hello:

I've done this before and can't figure out how I did it.

I have a part that I can route. I would like to save that design and then place in 10 times on my work area.
Then I can run those `10 parts as one job.

Using VCarve ver 10.x.x

THanks in advance
George

Vcarve offers this in the array and other ways with the plate production tool or the Nesting tools located in the 2d drawing tab under offset and layout.
You can find videos on how to do this on Vcarves site or on youtube. I have made various plaques and patches that I did the same thing and they are on their as well.

Just highlight all your drawing that you want to repeat and tell it to make a array out of it.

I just used the Array, and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
One job has 1,000 holes. I can program one array and then do copy.

And it cuts one of the array parts out at a time. So when power fails, I only lose the part that was being worked on.

Thank You VCarve
