Reg Key Expired

Post by Larry Gardner »

just fired up the machine this morning and damn thing says my reg key is expired... WTH I used it yesterday and for the past 3 years ran like a champ...
Email NWA to see if they can get me up and running but forgot Saturday so I lose two days of the machine sitting....

Happened to me too last night! Thankfully I left the old version of Shark control panel installed and was able to use that as there is NO telephone number listed on their website or in any of the emails I could find from previous exchanges with the NWA.

Why does a perpetual license, like the one for the shark control panel have an expatriation at all! This is a complete crap and I will be complaining to Rockler as well. I haven't bothered to contact NWA yet as I have work to do... I have been considering switching to Mach3 for a while now and this is a really good reason to give it a try.

Haven't tried the older version. Did you have to change the firmware, too?

I called NWA (419)-318-4822 and reached a person that didn't seem to know much about customer support. She just happened to answer the phone. Anyway, customer service is closed for the weekend so I don't expect any reply until next week. So much for the work that I was planning this weekend.

WHY SHOULD OUR REGISTRATION KEYS EXPIRE ---EVER ???????????????????
Maybe it is just a software bug?

Wow, that stinks, especially the timing. Mine is working, cutting away now.

In the good old days, you could reset your computer clock a couple of days back. Probably won't work these days.

Thank you, Bill. Good suggestion worth a try but it didn't work. Guess I am down for the weekend. Disappointing

You guys must live right. I am pleased to hear that you are operational. Customer service sent me a new version of the controller SW. I installed it and have requested a new registration key per their request. I am still not running but maybe someday. They said that the old version had a expiration date and that the new software (Version 2.01) does not. I'll let you know how this goes.

Customer Support... Registration issues
#1 Fix
Close all open Shark Control Panel software, including registration!!!
Delete [icy.001], [reg.nwa] and [reg2.nwa]
1.5 users... from [My Documents\CNC Shark]
and [My Documents\CNC Shark\Startup]
2.0 users... from 1.5 locations
and from [My Documents\CNC Shark 2.0]
and [My Documents\CNC Shark 2.0\Startup]
Next: Try to open control panel and register.

Thank you but this didn't work for me. Maybe because I already installed Version 2.01 as instructed by customer support. Looks like I have 10 days to use the 2.01 controller so maybe I will get a new registration key by then .... I hope.
