Vcarve Letters

I have come across signs that have Vcarve letters that are about 3-4" in height but the engraving (Vcarve) into the wood is 3/16 deep only. How can I achieve this? I have used 60 degree .25" and .50" but the depth of the Vcarve is about .5" deep or deeper. I want a tall letter but I do not want it so deep and bold. Thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question well enough to comment - can you attach a picture of what you want to achieve?

That's the same thing I would suggest. Used the Flat depth like Bob suggested. Did it work for you?
