The cable I have is marked with a label saying 255-285.

The touch-plate connector is a 3-conductor tip-ring-sleeve (TRS) stereo 1/8" plug.

The center conductor (tip) and the middle conductor (ring) of the plug both go to the wire that has the magnet that attaches to the spindle/bit.
The outer conductor, the sleeve of the plug, goes to the banana plug that goes into the touch-plate.

There's not really a whole lot of magic to the thing.

Hope that helps.

The magic is in getting the controller software to recognize the plate, which is what most of the fee goes towards.

I ended up making my own touchplate that works through USB, interacting with the controller software as a "keyboard" rather than plugging in to the controller directly. I can post details if anyone is interested.

Junior, I created a new thread:
https://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic. ... 396#p34396

Feel free to ask questions there. It's a simple solution that works well for me.
