Laser text onto a 3D carving??

I have a Shark HD4 with the laser attachment. I want to make a plaque for a family members' 50th wedding anniversary. The plaque will have a3D Bible carved into it, and I would like to lase a Bible verse actually onto the pages of the book. Is this possible? I know that I could Vcarve the verse, but I do like the lasering effect. Thanks.
