Desktop vs Pro
Getting ready to purchase the Shark 510 and wondering what the difference between the Vcarve Desktop and the Vcarve Pro which is a $300 upgrade, at least at time of purchase.
Re: Desktop vs Pro
Here's an old page showing the comparison between the two:
https://archive.vectric.com/products/de ... rison.html
And these are the up-to-date pages for each product, separately:
https://www.vectric.com/products/vcarve-desktop
https://www.vectric.com/products/vcarve-pro <-- scroll down to the Pro Features section
In brief, Pro has no size limit, has shape nesting, supports toolpath templates, and allows you to run gadgets (basically plugins that you or other users create to automate things).
Both are great pieces of software. For me, the gadgets and nesting are killer features that I use a lot, but that's not true for everyone.
