Ok friends with all the answers,
I have a shark pro and run vcarve 5.5. I want to carve a regular Vetric 3D art, not dished. I don't want to cut it out, but I want to carve it, for instance 0.4 deep, then pocket? or what? the rest of the surrounding wood to the same depth of 0.4. This will make the carved 3D art stand out from the board. I did do it but what was left was an area between the two that did not get removed. When I previewed it, it looked just perfect, but did not carve that way. I'm thinking it's in the allowance, but since the preview looks great, I'm having a difficult time figuring out what to do. I'm making a lot of firewood, but I don't have a fireplace.
pocket or what?

Hi - give this post a read through - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=382. If this doesn't help, you can always post your v3d file and someone I'm sure will be glad to look at it and provide some ideas.
