20-pin cable connections

the cable I had made by the tech 'worked' fine. It's the controller itself that won't accept 2 items plugged in, even if only one is on. between the laser and the spindle, they must both use at least some common pins on the connector, and the 'juice' isn't going to the correct place with both plugged in. the cord he made me works perfectly, using either end, either unit, but not with both. he said it would take a custom switch box to allow both plugged in at once, one of those old A/B switch boxes.
