Fall gate sign

Post by jimily »

Hello all,
Here's the latest off the Shark just in time for fall, down around these parts anyhow.

2 pieces of 1x12 pine with 2 tiled toolpaths (a first for me!), trimmed on the table saw and biscuited together. The .075mmR ball nose bit carved 5/8" thick Poplar Maple leaves took the longest of course with the 1/2" 60d v-bit background texture running second, depth on those leaves maxed at .26. That's the included 3d Maple leaf that comes with Vcarve. Regular spray paint for the leaves, regular enamel for the sign. The leaves are pocketed into the upper arch, glued into the half pockets and stick up above the sign. Brown on the back. Overall size 24x18.

Thanks for looking!
Jim

Thanks! The leaves were a yellow base, and then just kind of went to town with layers of red, orange and brown with more yellow. It was fun to just spray with abandon and still have it turn out good.

Thanks again!
Jim
