Geocache

Post by Megamoog »

Modified the Ornithological Abode, scaled down 10%. Latches used to be on the kitchen sink cabinet for baby proofing, but now that the kids are in their teens I can recycle them for another purpose!

What better way than a GEOCACHE! Has not been placed yet but lookin for the perfect spot!

More to follow when ready!

Great to hear and see references to Geocaching. I'm a 4 year addict of geocaching with 520+ finds in 24 states. I love it because it gets me out to places to enjoy that I never would ever get around to if it weren't for a handy excuse such as geocaching. When I get caught up a little I hope to meld two of my hobbies (woodworking and geocaching) to do something like this. (don't forget to put a chain of some type to keep the door with the housing..... you know as well as I that if you provide a way for the cover to get lost... it certainly will. LOL :)

Yes we all know how THINGS HAPPEN, I plan on tethering it with a wire with crimped ends that get screwed in! Probably will need some back-up magnets also!!! LOL

Popping all the fake rivets in today! Let dry n sealcoat with some spar urethane! n to keep searchin for an ideal spot! SOON I hope!

Thanks

If ya don't mind whats yer Geo handle? Ours is (2n2geofam) from N Illinois.

It shows that I am only 465 miles away via an "Eagles Flight" but I don't think I can make if for FTF honors.
