Home town Plaque

Post by basecircle »

Hi gang I have not posted in awhile Been sick but better now.I made this plaque out of #2 pine.Took the drawing and ran it through Aspire.I cut it out with a 1/16 ball nose.No big deal.Did alot of sanding and sanding.Did I mention SANDING.Anyway I cut it down to size.So I could put a nice quatersawn wrame.I first primed it and applyed 2 coats of Copper metal ,Made by Sculpt nouveau. This stuff is great.I applied a coat of Patina while the 2nd coat was wet.Wait and then the magic happens.Beautiful patina.I hit it with scotch brite pad Then sprayed on two coats of minwax poly.I hope you like it. Very nice.
Thank you for sharing the finish info.
I need to find a project to try the Sculpt Nouveau metal finish on. Hope mine turns out as well as yours did.
