Z Axis Calibration not working (?)

Post by Sculptee »

hello,

CP2.1 Thinks that my Z axis is moving 3.625", when it has moved 7.125".

I can bottom the spindle out on the table / zero it out in CP2.1, and then jog the Z axis up to it's tallest extent.
Control Panel will read that it has moved 3.680" from zero ( when it has moved just over 7"). And it is proportional all long the Z.

Some notes: I took everything off of the bed, and using the Touchplate- ran the Virtual Setup successfully.
I also just ran the function "Detect Touchplate"successfully.

This is really odd-- I hope that it is not something simple like last time ( for ex: selecting the wrong PP).

Thank you

So I found this thread from 2016, and it has been helpful.

https://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=5038

I opened my Config panel and the Z axis setting was double that of the X and Y axes. And that was the "default" setting restore too!

Anyway, I manually changed the Z setting to 157.4803149606, and it seems to have worked.

Now, 3.0" in the C-panel equals right about 3.0" on the router's Z axis.
