Access to Z axis coupler?

Post by Old Flat Toad »

The upper set screw on the Z axis came loose and separated from the stepper motor. Is there a procedure to access the set screw without disassembling too much? Is there a flat on the stepper motor shaft? It's a Shark 100 with the coupler way up inside the block the stepper motor bolts to.

New day, fresh start, not as hard as it looked. 3 screws, 4 bolts to remove the stepper motor. Rotate the lead screw so the router is at its bottom position then lift the router and the coupler pops up out of its hidey hole. A long handled 7/32 allen with a tee grip would have been a big help here. Reassemble, rezero and off to the races again. :D
