T-slot Screw Size for hd520

Post by TonyAm »

Hi,

I just bought a shark hd520 and was wondering if anyone could tell me the size of the t-slot screw that fits its track? Or how wide the slot is on the tracks
Making some wooden hold down clamps and need to buy the t-slot screws and nuts.

Sincere thanks,
Tony

Ok, The size of the screw (diameter) of the hold down clamp that comes with the HD520 is 5/16"

I measured the tracks on the bed and they are 0.54" wide at its widest point, approx in the middle of the channel, and 0.35" wide at the top of the channel- near the surface of the bed.

Tony,
If you go to your local hardware store, you can get 5/16" brass toilet bolts. These should slide in to the slots. They are what I use. Brass is good because your router bit has a chance of surviving if it hits the bolt. I get the longest ones available. You can always cut them shorter if needed.
