Has anyone used a musclechuck on a bosch 1617EVS. The chuck that is on the router is not holding the bit
like it should anymore.

Check for debris in the chuck around the tightening screw and slot. I had one of these years ago and had unacceptable results from it. I switch to a collet system from PresiceBits, better hold, less runout and I get a better variety of bit shank sizes..
