Has anyone made a trebuchet?
I was wondering if anyone had tried making a trebuchet on their cnc. I was thinking of trying to make some for nephew gifts this year, but am not very good at design stuff yet.

I'll try attaching the crv file for one I have made. It's designed to be gravity powered, but mine gets me into a lot more trouble by converting it to rubberband power.
Caution, This thing is designed to toss projectiles at high speed. Use with your own judgement. Wear safety glasses, and full body Kevlar protection when using.

Bob, songs will be sung of you for many moons around the fires...
This is what 21st Century technology should be used for, making medieval weapons of mass destruction !!
I think I'm about to wake the neighbours

Re: Has anyone made a trebuchet?
Bob, Can you post a picture of your trebuchet? Did you use 1/8 dowels or brass rod for the axles?
Great idea. Jimbob

It's been two years since my post. I can't find any of my samples for pictures. I probably gave them to friends. I used .125" dowels. If you google trebuchet, you will see lots of examples of what they look like.
