tool paths CRV
I hope I CAN explane this ok. What is happening is when I make up a project ( tool paths or tap files ) and send them to a folder, they send all right.. but when I try to send all the toolpaths as a ( save as file ) they send allright to the same folder, but I can not open the crv. file if I want to change something in the tool path. There is no blue flag on the left side of the crv. file. I have contacted vectric, but they did not know why it is happening. What makes it so strange is that it does not happen on my other cpu. they both are windows 10. Is there a setting some place that I can check mark??? Thanks for any help Gene

It sounds like you're doing a save-as on the CRV design file, and you're changing the file extension to .tap, even though the files actually have CRV data in them. That's why the files that YOU know to be CRVs don't get the blue icon.
To save the toolpaths, you have to use the tool panel to get .TAP/.tap files.
The menu command File -> Save As is for the design file itself (.CRV)
Hope that makes sense and helps.

Thom

Why does it work on one computer and not on the other??
Re: tool paths CRV
The information you've given is not sufficient to understand what's happening.gpeck wrote:Why does it work on one computer and not on the other??
We need the actual commands and menu entries, and what you typed in where, and what software is installed on the two machines.
Preferably with screen shots of the steps you took, not just the end-result.
The number of reasons why two random computers might act differently when you "send" files to it is somewhat large.
