Here is a test .tap file. It is located in your documents folder, CNC shark. X, Y, and Z axis' will move 1" and return to 0,0,0. Run this without a router bit in collet and see if it moves one 1" on all three axis'.
Your .TAP file ran OK on my machine.

what does this mean

On the shark control panel itself you do have inches selected right?
If that's not it then you need to get a hold of Al Wolford or Tim Owens about a control box.
I don't think there are jumpers in the newer controllers.

Maybe Al or Tim have a way to reprogram the counts per inch on the controller without sending it in.
Not a good way to start off a new $4k investment.
