I'm the guy who posted "unstable Shark Pro" a couple weeks ago and wanted to thank everyone who offered advice.
I am posting an update here to tell how I think I have resolved the problem.
I tried all the things suggested and still had the erratic behavior.
In desperation, I changed the feed speed in the tool database to 40 IPM from 100.
I increased the overlap to help with the time issue and "voila". I was able to finish the
project without destroying my workpiece.
Thanks everyone

Re: Erratic Shark Pro Update
Speed can definitely be an issue with light duty machines. It took me a while to learn that it was faster to slow it down and get it right the first time. It just takes some time with different types of woods to figure out what speeds you can run safely. You'll probably find cleaner cuts at the lower speeds. Also watch your plunge rates. I found that lowering them from the vectric default setting helped also. Glad you got it worked out.
