With the current gear and setup you can machine a 3 inch diameter maximum.
You could re-design the rack portion of the gear making it higher for more table clearance, or make a pinion gear of a larger diameter, then you could machine a larger diameter. The limiting factor with the method I have developed, is the amount of Z clearance you have available on your machine.
What diameter are you seeking?

Also remember that that you currently only have one choice for length too, without modifying the setup. Length is determined by how much distance you have between the gears when they are mounted on your machine. So you would need to make multiple parts if they are short, or longer pieces need to be made in parts and then connected later. That's how I made the walking stick.

excellent work. Sadly tho it seems many customers are doing this because the engineers at Next Wave Automation are dragging their feet (been waiting years now) on putting one on the market.
I'm looking to modify my SharkPro HD to add a 4th axis.
For some reason this seems 'too simple' to be correct. (Believe me,... I think it is pure genius!...)
Would this work with Cut 3d, Vcarve pro, or exclusively with Aspire? (Does the design or model require unwrapping for 4th axis?)
Has anyone tried this yet on a sharkpro HD or shark pro?
I've not heard a word from NextWave regarding 4th axis. (reserving grumbling for a later date... It always seems as I complain and then viola... whatever I was complaining about is 'fixed'.... ) Maybe my pre-emptive false-grumble will make something happen!!
