Re: Bob's Super Simple 4th Axis
OK,
It's been almost three months now. Has anyone tried this yet?
I'm kind of curious because I've heard nothing about anybody trying this technique...just the sound of a lonely wind blowing and a few tumble weeds blowing through.

I'm still working my way up to doing a Lithopane and now you throw this out. LOL.
Very ingenious idea. I'll add that to my 'to do' list.

Hi Bob
Long time since we have seen some more of your rotary carvings.
I may, finally, be able to try out your invention.
Question:
Will I use rotary wrapping or just flat modelling?
Cheers and thanks

Re: Bob's Super Simple 4th Axis
Wolffie,
I'm guessing that you found the answer to your question?
Just use a regular "flat" tool path.
Nothing to it...really.
